Delta 39+1 fountain pen collection is made to celebrate the return to the international market of fine writing instruments. The Delta 39+1 limited edition collection of only 399 +1 unique pieces fountain pens made of rare celluloid recovered from the Historical Delta’s Material Archive. Very original design, surely “unconventional”, brings with it an innovation represented by an unprecedented “Weight balancing system”, designed to offer the user a personalized comfort. It is under the name “Writer Balance” – internationally patented.

Write Balance is a small weight in gold plated metal inserted inside the threaded cone positioned at the lower end of the fountain pen (blind cap) weight is about 2.5 grm. Write Balance offers the possibility of being able to choose the best personal balance according to one’s grip and writing characteristics. The different sensations could appear minimal but it becomes significant in terms of feeling, pleasantness and comfort of use, especially during long writing sessions. At the barrel end of the fountain pen is a threaded cone and within that cone is a 2.5 grm removable weight. With the weight inserted into the cone (blind cap) the fountain pen’s balance is toward the back end and the user’s hand is more involved in the writing. This center of gravity is often preferred by calligraphers and lettering artists for greater control of the fountain pen’s movement. With the weight removed from the cone, the balance shifts toward the front part of the pen and its great for long writing sessions and for more casual writing.
