The company started operations in 1864 when the company was founded by T. Webster and Co. in London. Since 1925 they have been located in Liverpool and the company name was changed to Diamine in 1964. Diamine has made private labeled inks for many companies. Diamine Fountain Pen ink come with many choices of colors. These inks are Non Toxic and extremely free flowing of this ink is seen by many as the only choice for Vintage and modern pens.
Lord Monboddo was a Scottish writer who delved into evolutionary theory while teaching orang-utans to play flute. As far as we know, the latter day purple ink enthusiast who goes by the nom-de-plume of Scribble Monboddo may or may not be a distant relation - but he definitely has a top hat in this splendid color.
