My L2k comes with fine nib. This is my first gold nib, writes very well.

Fountain pen with a legendary status
I got my Lamy 2000 with a fine nib, I don't have much experience with fountain pens but I feel that the nib is pretty smooth. The piston filler holds a nice amount of ink. I was inspecting the pen when I received it, and there was some traces of ink on the nib, I guess that it was tested prior to being sent. Pen has a nice feeling in the hand, though I always get condensation on the nib during warmer times, so I'm guessing the pen kindda retains heat. The cap is a push-on, so that makes it convenient to use compared to a screw on cap. The spring loaded clip is a nice feature too. Overall a solid pen
