This is our premium version and the Tomoe River papers are carefully stitched together using binder thread. Each folded set of Tomoe River papers are sewn together individually with multiple stiches and then joined with other sets to create the complete book block.

Top-notch Tomoe River paper! Currently I only own 2 notebooks: this one and a Midori notebook. Comparing with the Midori paper, Tomoe River paper feels so much smoother and absorbs better. It's just a little thin for my liking, but it's okay as long as I feel smooth writing with it (btw, I use Kaweco pens)
Also, this notebook is really well put together by PENGALLERY with high quality black covers.
Overall, I have great experience writing with this notebook - definitely will repurchase!
