Founded in 1999 and only focus on private label writing instrument manufacturing. On 2015, Penlux decided to create its own label. Penlux specialize in product design, manufacturing and handcrafting. Their inhouse craftsmen passionate about the new design and materials. Their manufacturing facility is base in Taiwan and 80% of their products are done inhouse in order to ensure the quality and design confidently.
This collaboration series with PENLUX, enhanced by a special kodachi designed by Mr. Nagahara, seems to blend the art of fine writing with the craftsmanship of Japanese sword-making. The design of the pen features delicate vertical lines that are thin and precise, while the horizontal lines are sharpened using a unique technique.
The pen barrel is engraved as a tribute to the collaboration, marking it as a special, commemorative piece. This combination of traditional Japanese elements with modern writing technology makes the PENLUX x Nagahara series a distinctive and refined offering for writing enthusiasts and collectors alike.
The PENLUX collaboration with Mr. Nagahara includes three distinct nib widths to cater to different writing preferences:
KN (Kodachi Needle): This nib is designed for those who prefer an exceptionally fine, precise line, making it ideal for intricate writing or detailed work.
KF (Kodachi Fine): Slightly broader than the Needle, the Fine nib offers a smooth writing experience, suitable for general writing tasks that still require fine detail.
KM (Kodachi Medium): The Medium nib is the broadest of the three, providing a more expressive stroke with a slightly thicker line, perfect for those who prefer a more substantial writing flow.
Interestingly, the nib width is engraved on the end of the barrel, rather than on the nib itself, giving the pen a clean, uncluttered look. This unique detail adds to the elegance and thoughtful design of the collaboration series.
