I loved my Pilot SFM so much I felt that I had to have another, and opted for the SM nib to experience it slightly differently. The lines are indeed wider but still just as enjoyable and providing that great cushioned juicy writing experience.

The pen is great.

Wonderful pen and one of the best after using 3776. This is a superb writer, not too costly but anyone would be very satisfied to use this writing instrument as their EDC pen. PenGallery is also a very good store and reliable store to purchase at a reasonable price. highly recommended.

I got this pen with an F nib. Out of the box it was dry; it laid down a very fine — verging on faint — line.
After my buyer’s remorse had subsided, I spent a couple of hours googling for instructions on how to make the nib wetter. I found what I needed, but it took me another 24 hours to work up the courage to do it.
In the end, it really wasn’t all that difficult. It took me all of 15 minutes to increase the space between the nib’s tines. Now it puts down a slightly wider, much wetter and smoother line — pretty much just as I want it
Overall, I’m giving this pen 4 stars. It’s a nice reliable writer; sturdy, comfortable on the page and in the hand. Yes, it needed tweaking but thanks to that I now know how to make simple adjustments to nibs.

Recently acquired this in SM. Very wet writer, line width is same as german medium.(surprisingly). Very light pen, given the short nib, my comfortable grip fell on the threads, not at the section. The cap is double threaded however, the one i have suffers frequent misthreading while capping, not sure whether it is a design flaw or isolated case.
