Product Description
During the Muromachi period (1336-1573) and Edo period (1603-1868), the role of the ninja (or shinobi) was integral to the strategies of warring feudal lords, particularly in a time of constant conflict and political instability. The ninja were not just skilled fighters but also experts in espionage, infiltration, and subterfuge. Thus, because the Ninja needed to survive and return to their lord living in castles, they often used weapons to protect themselves, such as Swords, Shurikens, Makibishi etc.
The Sailor 1911 Large Ninja collection beautifully blends the historical theme of the ninja with the exceptional craftsmanship of Sailor fountain pens. This unique set of pens draws inspiration from the iconic ninja and uses Yuubi Maki-e—a traditional Japanese lacquer technique—to depict ninja figures on both the cap and body. The design emphasizes the stealth and precision associated with ninjas, providing a stunning and meaningful visual connection to the skilled warriors of feudal Japan.
